Exec recruiter Boyden snaps up two Canada offices from Odgers

Executive search firm Boyden has struck a deal to bring two Canadian offices of rival firm Odgers Berndtson into its network, transferring more than 80 search professionals into the company.

Odgers’ Ottawa and Vancouver offices will transfer to Boyden, while some Odgers staff will join Boyden’s existing Canadian offices in Calgary and Toronto.
Partners transferring include Ron Robertson in Ottawa and Ken Werker in Vancouver.
Trina Gordon, president and chief executive officer of Boyden, says: “Canada is a critical hub for our growth in the Americas, and we look forward to this expanded Canadian offering benefiting our clients around the world.”
Meanwhile, Odgers itself retains Canadian offices in Calgary, Halifax, Montreal and Toronto. However, the Toronto Globe and Mail suggests Calgary will make the same move early next year.
