Rethink Group rethinks Nakama bid

IT recruiter The Rethink Group says it has “no intention” to make an offer for Nakama Group.
Thu, 13 February 2014IT recruiter The Rethink Group says it has “no intention” to make an offer for Nakama Group.

In an announcement made to the City, Rethink says that its preliminary discussions with the London-based digital technology and marketing recruiter that began in January about a possible takeover bid came to nothing.

According to Rethink’s statement: “The preliminary discussions… were at a very early stage and have not progressed since. Accordingly, the board of Rethink has concluded that it does not intend to make an offer for Nakama.”

Rethink is the second company in recent days to express loss of interest in bidding for Nakama. As recruiter.co.uk reported yesterday (12 February), Australian IT and technology recruiter Talent International (TI) announced that it had withdrawn its proposed takeover bid for the group, which also operates in the financial services sector through its Highams brand.
