The external recruitment arm of property investment franchise Platinum Property Partners (PPP), myinhouserecruitment.co.uk, officially launches tomorrow.
Founded by PPP’s recruitment manager Matthew Edge-Wilkins, myinhouserecruitment is an internal headhunting service for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that don’t have the budget to pay recruitment agency fees or fund an in-house department, Edge-Wilkins tells Recruiter.
Brought in nearly three years ago to head up PPP’s recruitment and HR, Edge-Wilkins has been sourcing roles not only for the property company but also its business affiliates – Tribos Coatings and Peace One Day. “I recruit for PPP and its affiliates,” he says, “but we don’t advertise [vacancies] and candidates don’t register.”
Edge-Wilkins prefers to target and engage with passive candidates who are the right fit for the businesses and really focus on sourcing the best people. And as a result, “we’ve been doing a small amount of external recruitment since July 2013”, he says.
myinhouserecruitment.co.uk will make use of the strong personal networks that have been built up since Edge-Wilkins joined PPP and so will be able to offer headhunting and recruitment services to other SMEs, new ventures and property companies at a cost-effective price.
