Accenture to create 2,000 jobs in the UK

Based throughout the UK, including London, Manchester and Edinburgh, the new roles span a range of skills and capabilities and offer opportunities for candidates from experienced executives to entry-level recruits for its graduate programme.

Accenture is seeking to fill 750 positions within Accenture technology, 300 roles in its retail, banking and capital markets, more than 100 consultant positions within Accenture strategy focusing on IT, and around 100 positions in Accenture digital at all levels across mobility, analytics and digital marketing.

The remaining 750 roles are broken down into 700 entry-level positions and 50 positions in Accenture Operations.

Prime Minister David Cameron says: “The creation of these jobs at Accenture is even more good news for the British economy. These jobs are among 10,000 that have been announced today [3 April] – jobs that will give people financial security for the future.”

Accenture is also hiring into its Newcastle Apprentice scheme. Launched in 2012, the programme enables school leavers to work toward achieving a Higher Apprenticeship for IT, a Level 4 BTEC Diploma and a foundation degree. Those apprentices who perform well and complete the programme will be offered full-time jobs with Accenture.
