Wed, 23 Jul 2014Berry Recruitment has acquired Croydon-based recruitment consultancy PRC Employment, bringing Berry’s total number of branches across the country to 27.

The purchase is the latest move by Berry – which recruits in several sectors including driving, rail, construction, catering and office staff – in efforts to continue growing and increase its turnover to more than £50m this year.

Chris Chown, managing director at Berry, said: “We aim to grow organically and by careful acquisition. PRC fits well with our strategic plan of increasing our commercial business across the group. It is a long-established business with reach across London and the South East.”

PRC will continue to trade under its existing brand, which has been developed since the business was launched in the late 1980s. The firm focuses on placing candidates in secretarial, office administration sales and marketing, legal, IT, call centre/help desk and finance and accountancy positions. PRC’s four staff will remain in their jobs.
