Australia’s largest pension fund, AustralianSuper, is recruiting for more than 50 investment professionals and back-office support staff, the Financial Times reports.

The intention is to reduce its reliance on external fund managers.
It has already appointed teams in Australian equities, infrastructure and property, and is now looking for people with experience in loans and credit, cash and direct listed equities.
The Financial Times reported the fund group executive for marketing and corporate affairs Georgina Williams as saying there was no strict timetable for the recruitment drive.
