BSI invites recruiters to submit views on management standard

National standards body the BSI is asking recruiters and other HR professionals to contribute to a management standard for valuing people within their organisations.

The new standard, BS 76000, has been developed to provide a framework to help organisations recruit, retain, develop and deploy people in a sustainable manner, and is open for consultation until January next year.
Organisations involved in developing the draft standard include the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Federation of Small Businesses, the University Forum for Human Resource Development and the Trades Union Congress (TUC). Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke is also contributing to the work.
