Demand for nurses and doctors have been the main driver for AMN Healthcare’s rising profits and revenues, according to the US healthcare staffing specialist’s Q4 and 2014 annual results.

The group’s results reveal full-year revenues of US$1,036m (£672.4m), up from $1,011.8m (£657m) in 2013, while gross profit (GP) rose to $316.6m from $297.2m over the year.
In Q4 the group reported revenues of $279.6m from $248.6 in the same period of the previous year, while GP rose to $84.7m in Q4 2014 from $74.1m in Q4 2013.
The group’s top performing parts of the business was its nurse and allied healthcare staffing and physician divisions, which saw Q4 year-on-year revenue growth of 17% and 14% respectively.
