Norman Broadbent streamlines its board as Lakefield retires

Bruce Lakefield, non-executive director at executive recruiter Norman Broadbent, has retired, effective today [17 March].

A company statement says Lakefield, a US resident, is “reducing his activities overseas”.
He has served on the board since 2000.
Board member Jan Cameron, who also heads the group’s internal HR function on a part-time basis, has announced she intends to stand down from the board, effective 30 April.
She has worked for the group since 2006 and joined the board in 2010.
As a result, the board has streamlined its reporting structure with James Webber, group chief financial officer and chief operating officer, leading the HR function. The group will hire a full-time HR executive.
Cameron will remain a consultant to the company.
