Nigeria’s Access Bank recruits – for 10 minutes a day

Nigerian bank Access Bank is recruiting – via a disappearing portal (no, really).

From this week and until 10 June, the bank’s recruitment portal opens for just 10 minutes at 10am each day.

Potential candidates who time their visits accordingly are then asked to solve a logic puzzle, within 10 minutes, before being taken to another portal in which they can upload their CV.

Due to an overwhelming response, the portal moved to a new website midweek. Recruiter tried to answer the puzzle at 10am this morning… but could not load the page in time.

Applicants can only try answering the puzzle once each day for a total of three days. So if anyone else can get on the site and successfully complete the brainteaser, we’d love to know!

Maybe your company is considering doing something similar. The Comment box is at the bottom of the page, so sorry for the glitch but just scroll right down and tell us what you think.

Availability continues to rise for both perm and temp candidates

November saw increased availability of workers for the ninth straight month of the year, countered by lingering economic uncertainty and hesitancy to commit to new hires.
