Almost three quarters of companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) expect to be hiring in the next year, according to research from Bayt.com.

The job board’s latest Middle East Job Index Survey, published this week, reveals 72% of UAE employers surveyed expect to be taking on workers in the next year, while two in five said they would be definitely hiring in the next three months.

Meanwhile, 66% said they expect to be hiring in the next quarter, while 23% were less optimistic and said they would probably be recruiting. Just 3% said they would definitely not be taking on staff in the next three months.

According to respondents, HR professionals, executive assistants, sales managers, accountants and receptionists were among the most in-demand roles.

Data for the survey was collected online from a total of 807 online interviews conducted with respondents from the UAE, KSA (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Pakistan.
