London-based recruiter Trevose Partners has appointed Mark Thomas to run its UK business.

Previously the UK and Ireland sales director at banking and finance recruiter Marks Sattin in London, Thomas has joined to oversee the day-to-day running of the firm’s UK operation with a focus on organic growth across both the firm’s perm and temp businesses.

Meanwhile Barry Whyte, who was hired by the firm from Robert Walters in 2012, is relocating to New York to manage the firm’s new US business.

Having covered the US market for the past two years, Whyte says locating its first international office in New York made sense as “the market sentiment in the States remains relatively positive with a similar outlook going forward, and gives us a great opportunity to grow our diversified business both functionally and geographically”.
