FINANCIALS: Randstad reports growth group-wide including UK

Recruitment giant Randstad has reported revenue growth in the UK and across the group, according to results for Q3 2017.

he results, published this morning, reveal group revenue of €5,872m (£5,240m), up 9% year-on-year, from €5,349.3m in the corresponding quarter last year, while gross profit was up 8% from €999.8m in Q3 2016 to €1,777.6m in the third quarter of 2017.

The group reported revenue growth in the Rest of the World (up 10%) and Europe (up 11%) as well as the UK, where revenue was up by 10% (Q2 2017: up 2%), though perm fees were down by 7% (Q2 2017: up 3%).

Randstad CEO Jacques van den Broek said: “Our organic sales growth remained robust in Q3, despite tougher comparisons versus Q2.

“Strong momentum in Europe continued supported by our digital initiatives, while growth in our North American business remained stable when adjusted for the hurricane impact. 

“Meanwhile, we launched our new brand positioning, which is centred around our Tech & Touch strategy. We apply digital innovations to improve our services. At the same time, we recognise these efficiencies for what they are: a means to an end. A means to free up our people to focus on our most important asset – the personal connection...”
