• Chantal Free has joined Capita to take up her new position as executive officer in its People Solutions division. She joins from Wills Towers Watson, where she was MD and head of human capital and benefits for Western Europe. Free will oversee Capita’s investment in automation of its recruiting and screening platforms and the development of digital technologies to support Capita’s ‘hire to retire’ services.

• Deverell Smith, a strategic recruitment consultancy to the property industry, has strengthened its London and international senior management team with the appointment of James Campion as managing director. Campion joins from professional recruiter Michael Page, where he was a regional director.
