APPOINTMENTS: 5-9 JULY 2021

Heidrick & Struggles, a global leadership advisory and on-demand talent solutions firm, has announced four new appointments to its business.

Laryssa Topolnytsky has been appointed as partner in its Toronto office. Topolnytsky has worked for another executive search firm and was the founding member of the first international office of a strategic talent management firm.

Kelley Brack Jamison has joined as a partner in the Los Angeles office. Brack has more than 25 years of executive search experience, focusing on serving the global private equity and alternative investments sectors.

Marcelo Conteçote has been appointed principal in the São Paulo office. He has previously helped to build strong connections between culture and safety for clients in manufacturing industries for a global consulting firm.

Laura Gironda joins as a principal in the San Francisco office. She has experience in culture transformation, performance management, engagement, HR processes and the talent life cycle.

• Employability charity Fedcap Employment has appointed Amanda Cullen as director to lead its work on the new Restart Scheme launching this summer. The scheme will support more than 100,000 unemployed people across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, find employment over the next four years. Cullen joins from Sodexo, where she has held senior roles including leading the South Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company.

Jonas Prising, chairman and CEO of ManpowerGroup, has been elected the chair of JA Worldwide, a global youth-serving NGO (non-governmental organisation). He will lead a diverse board shaping the global footprint of the organisation “dedicated to equipping more than 12 million young people each year with the employment and entrepreneurship skillsets to succeed in 100 countries”, according to a company statement.

• Recruitment consultancy RBW Consulting has hired five new team members to its US team. Bianca Bernardo joins the client engagement team and Alexandra Greene joins as general manager, people. Dan Sidell has been appointed as a functional expert in biometrics and Josh Jess in pharmacovigilance and drug safety. Kade Kramer also joins the cross functional team.

RBW launched into the US market in Boston, during 2017, and opened a second office in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2020. The US team has now grown to 21 from just one, back in 2017.

Microsoft teams up with SThree to improve operations

SThree, the leading STEM-specialist staffing group, has announced a collaboration with Microsoft that is intended to power its industry-leading Technology Improvement Programme.
