The new venue, Mr White’s, is located in Leicester Square, the home of film and entertainment. Managed by Black and White Hospitality it is expected to open in October.

Mr White’s Steakhouse, Pizza and Gin House has 80 full and part time jobs available including managerial, front of house, back of house (kitchen) and bar staff.

For some of the managerial roles, degree level is desirable, and for other roles such as kitchen staff, front of house and bar staff, experience of working in a busy restaurant or bar is preferable. Training will be given for those wanting to expand their experience.

And also in the training field, McCann Worldgroup and its sister agencies FutureBrand and McCann Health have created over 80 internships as part of the government’s Kickstart scheme. The internships are designed to help young people enter into a marketing and advertising career, giving them long-term employment and experience to address the serious skill and talent shortages in the UK.

Young people aged 16-24 will gain experience in account management, creative, strategic planning and research, digital, production and adaptation, PR, social media, media buying, new business development, HR, IT, operations and finance across office locations in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Milton Keynes and Bristol. 

Elsewhere, a European B2B scale-up is creating 100 jobs as it raises its biggest investment round to date to help expand into the UK.

Headquartered in Brussels, Sortlist has raised €11m (£9.4m), totalling 57% more than expected. The funding will allow the company to launch in England and to hire around 100 people, aiming for a global team of 200 within the next 2-3 years.
