• US-based executive search firm Eastward Partners has appointed Lindsey Webb as associate partner and head of the deal advisory practice. Webb joins with over a decade of experience in advisory recruitment, having led searches across due diligence, technical accounting, restructuring and performance improvement. She will spearhead Eastward’s expansion, overseeing the opening of an office in Chicago, to add to its New York and Miami bases.

• Apprentice to boardroom recruitment solutions specialists Nicholas Associates Group (NAG) has promoted Chris Myers to group IT director. Myers has more than 25 years’ experience working in IT, beginning as an apprentice and working through various technical roles and into management. He joined NAG 13 years ago working for the Stafforce brand and since then he has held various roles including head of IT and head of shared services.

In his new role, Myers will develop and oversee the implementation of the long-term IT strategy and future IT strategic projects, which also involves managing a team of front line IT support technicians, system specialists, and outsourced IT partners for cloud hosting, telephony and IT helpdesk services.

• Recruitment consultancy Prescient Group has grown from eight recruitment professionals to 11, appointing Paul Jacobs as non-executive director to support the delivery of its strategic goals, and consultants Alex Payne and Craig Catley joining the Manchester office. The firm plans to expand by a further nine employees this year and is currently recruiting for three Nottingham roles – including a temps consultant, resource and delivery consultant, and an internal digital marketing manager.

To accommodate the team’s growth, the Nottingham office has moved to a bigger space within Bridlesmith Walk – the third move since 2020 – and the Manchester office is also moving for a third time within Spinningfields.

Reed acquires Code Nation to improve tech talent solution

Reed Global has acquired Code Nation, a fast-growing independent digital and technical training provider.
