APPOINTMENTS: 20-24 FEBRUARY 2023

• Recruitment agency Castle Employment Group has appointed Gemma Watmough to head up its Leeds office. Watmough joins a team of five and will be responsible for driving Castle’s expansion ambitions in West and South Yorkshire.

• Recruitment tech firm Clu has appointed tech executive Emily Foges as senior adviser and chair of the company to drive a strategic step change as the company prepares for its first major investment round. Foges’s career spans more than 25 years and includes senior roles at Deloitte, BetFair, BT Retail and Equifax. An entrepreneur in her own right, she also scaled AI platform Luminance from a team of two to a $100m (£83m) valuation and global market leadership under her direction as CEO.

• Talent advisory firm Durlston Partners has appointed Meraj Bahram as managing partner, effective from 27 February. Bahram joined as a partner in 2018 and has played an integral role in driving the firm’s growth. He will be responsible for driving the business and accelerating Durlston’s global expansion.

Sellick Partnership has promoted Adam Burgess to senior manager. Burgess will head up the recruiter’s Newcastle team, which will cover the finance, accountancy, ICT and digital technology specialisms across both the public and private sectors. He joined in 2016 as a recruitment consultant initially focusing on procurement and project management across the North-East.

Reed acquires Code Nation to improve tech talent solution

Reed Global has acquired Code Nation, a fast-growing independent digital and technical training provider.
