SFP’s Simon and Daniel Plant were appointed joint administrators on 29 July 2011 after the company ran up debts of more than £400,000. Key Personnel was sold to a third party on 2 August 2011.

Numbers of new professional jobs fell slightly in July within the Republic of Ireland, according to the latest Morgan McKinley Irish Employment Monitor.

The Monitor recorded a 4% month-on-month decrease in the number of new professional jobs in the Irish market in July 2011 with jobs registered falling from 8.250 in June to 7,900 in July. Job numbers were however 50% up on July 2010.

Insolvency practitioner SFP has overseen the sale of London-based Target Appointments after the firm went into administration, saving six jobs.

Target Appointments operated within the office, retail, horticulture, manual and accountancy recruitment markets and had an annual turnover of about £900,000.

Accountancy firm Grant Thornton is creating a dedicated in-house recruitment team.

The 14-strong unit will cover graduate, school leaver and summer intern recruitment, a total of 300 hires a year.

These were previously the responsibility of the firm’s HR function, with only two of the 20-strong team engaged in graduate recruitment full time.
