The Interim Management Association (IMA), an industry body representing UK interim management service providers, has elected Simon Drake from Penna Executive Interim as its new chairman.

He will take up the post with immediate effect, taking over from Jason Atkinson, managing director at Russam Interim, who held the position for three years.

Drake has served on the IMA's executive committee for the past three years, overseeing new memberships and special projects. His main focus will be to bring the IMA brand closer to the client or end-user.

Outgoing chairman Atkinson adds: "The time has come to hand over the reins, and I firmly believe that Simon will do an excellent job in continuing to progress the organisation."
