JobsinWales asks for signatures to ask chancellor to include commission in furlough payments

Jobs board JobsinWales.com has launched a petition asking the chancellor to make commission and bonuses for sales staff – including recruiters – part of furlough payments.

Yesterday, Recruiter carried a story in which employment lawyers suggested agency bosses could build goodwill and retain high performers they have furloughed by topping up their pay. JobsinWales.com saw our story and asked the chancellor to go one step further.

The petition puts forward the argument that thousands of employees, including recruiters, estate agents, sales and sales development staff, rely on their monthly commission and bonus payments, making up a significant part of their pay, and are being forgotten by the chancellor.

Recruiters have forgotten the basics, says Barnes at RecExpo

Recruiters have lost the ability to sell as well as the ability to hunt, leading recruitment expert Sid Barnes told an audience at the Recruitment Industry Expo last week.
