Debtors will be given 30 days’ breathing space, following a deal struck between the Credit Service Association (CSA), which represents debt agencies and the government.

Global recruitment software provider Dillistone Systems has announced record profits for the year ended 31 December 2008.

Revenues increased by £4.1m, up 13% on 2007, while profits before tax also jumped by 19% to £1.2m and recurring revenues increased by 35% to £2.25m, representing 49% of total turnover.

Cash balances also increased by 53% to £2.4m on 2007.

The increase in fuel duty will not hit travel jobs, according to travel recruiters.

In last week’s Budget the Chancellor announced that fuel duty would increase by 2p per litre from September and then by 1p a litre above inflation each April for the next four years.
